    All proceeds from the Fly Like An Eagle 5k will go to directly to the C. Hunter Ritchie Parent-Teacher Organization. With them, it is our intention to initiate more events that help students and their families develop good fitness habits, while enabling the entire community to unite together for a good cause.

  • Little Eagles Race, Too

    At C. Hunter Ritchie, we are committed to helping students live a physically fit and healthy lifestyle. To help them take a step in that direction, we are offering children, ages 5–11, the chance to participate in a 1 mile little eagle fun run. We encourage all adult eagle 5k runners to bring their children to participate.

  • T-Shirts & Prizes

    Registered runners receive a free event t-shirt in their race packet. All children in the 1 mile race will receive a ribbon for participating. The top three male and female runners in the adult 5k will receive a medal for their performance.

    Due to limited quantities, t-shirts can't be guaranteed for those registering after April 19. Be sure to register early and secure yours!

No worries. Just follow the handful of steps listed here, and your race day is sure to be stress-free and fun. We look forward to seeing you on the asphalt!

Chip timing will be provided by Amazing Race Timing.

  • Step 1 Packet Pick-Up

    Pick up your race packet and t-shirt at C. Hunter Ritchie Elementary School (located at 4416 Broad Run Church Road), or the morning of the race at the event location.

  • Step 2 Arrive & Park

    On April 28, you'll travel to the Inn at Vint Hill, where both check-ins and registrations will open at 7:00 am. You may choose to park along Watson Road, or adjacent to the nearby Larry Weeks Community Pool. Get step-by-step directions from Google Maps below.
